What is a heart cough?
Answered by 1 Apollo Doctors
Heavy breathing accompanied by spells of wet cough with frothy sputum that may be tinged with blood is called as "Cardiac cough or Heart cough". It is a sign of congestive heart failure. Additional symptoms such as shortness of breath on exertion or rest, leg swelling, waking up from sleep in the middle of night gasping and coughing differentiate heart cough from cough due to lung conditions.

View allI'm really worried because my tests showed I have a 22mm ASD and a Right bundle branch block. The doctors are recommending surgery, and I'm not sure how risky that is. Is the operation absolutely necessary? If it is, can you suggest where might be the best place for this surgery, and any idea how much it might cost?

I'm a bit worried because I have diabetes and this morning I felt a slight pain on the left side of my chest. I went to the hospital, and they did an ECG. The report said "Borderline," but it was unconfirmed. The doctor told me it's not a huge problem but that I need to watch my diet and keep tabs on my heart health. I'm a little confused and can't help but worry about what all this means. Could you help me understand? Ive been losing sleep over this.

I had a CABG surgery back in 2006, and I've been on a bunch of medications since then, like Ecosprin Gold 20mg, Nebicard 2.5mg, Gelam AM 40mg, Nikoran 10, and Nitrocontin 6.4. Is it alright for me to take Nikoran and Nitrocontin at the same time?
Continue all the medications..
