The most obvious indicator of bacterial infection in the urine is the presence of bacteria; this is often quantified in terms of the number of pus cells in the urine.
Dr. Yusuf Suggests...
Take a ENDOMYSIAL ANTIBODY IGA Test or Take a ALPHA-1-ANTITRYPSIN - SERUM Test

Hi, my wife and I went on a 12 days international vacation and were scheduled to go for our 12 week pregnancy scan immediately after returning. We had a long international flight and got the scan and urine test immediately. While the NT scan and other reports are fine, the urine report shows 6 to 8 pus cells with a urine pH of 8. Is this possibly due to temporary dehydration from travel or is it something more serious? My wife does not have any other symptoms and is fine. We are asking this since we can only meet our doctor in a wee time. Thanks.
