What medications can raise your levels of potassium?
Answered by 1 Apollo Doctors
Nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) like ibuprofen (Motrin, Advil) and naproxen (Aleve) are typically taken to relieve fever, pain, and inflammation. They may also raise potassium levels by lowering aldosterone levels.

View allI am 74 years old. I have been a diabetes and thyroid patient for the last 11 years. Usually, I take one tablet for sugar and one for thyroid. Two months ago, I consulted a doctor who gave me two high-strength medicines for sugar and one medicine for nerves. After a few weeks, I experienced vomiting, so I tested my blood with another doctor. The report showed that my sodium and hemoglobin have decreased, and potassium has increased. Please let me know what I should do? Also, my body is shaking a lot.
