Whats going on with my belly button? A few days back, I had an infection there, and now Ive noticed this small, painful lump inside it. When I was cleaning it with Dettol, it started leaking this whitish pus-like stuff. Could it be a cyst, or should I be worried about something else?

The painful lump and pus leakage from your belly button could be a sign of an infected belly button cyst or abscess.
Possible Causes
- Infected belly button cyst: A cyst can form in the belly button due to trapped dirt, sweat, or bacteria. If infected, it can cause pain, swelling, and pus.
- Folliculitis: An infection of the hair follicle in the belly button area.
- Abscess: A pocket of pus that forms in response to a bacterial infection.
Symptoms
- Painful lump or swelling
- Pus or discharge (white, yellow, or green)
- Redness and inflammation
- Foul odor
What to Do
- Seek medical attention: Consult a doctor or visit an urgent care center for proper evaluation and treatment.
- Keep the area clean: Gently clean the belly button with mild soap and lukewarm water.
- Avoid squeezing or popping: Refrain from squeezing or popping the lump, as this can push bacteria deeper into the skin and lead to further complications.
Treatment
- Antibiotics: Your doctor may prescribe antibiotics to treat the infection.
- Drainage: The doctor may need to drain the abscess or cyst to remove the pus.
- Pain management: Your doctor may recommend pain relief medication to manage discomfort.

View allI've got this yellow spot on my inner thigh that's about the size of a thumbnail, and it's halfway up my leg. I dont recall getting hurt or anything like that, and I dont play any sports. Should I be worried about this? What could it be?
The yellow spot on your inner thigh could be a fatty deposit, a sebaceous cyst, or a skin condition like eczema or dermatitis, but it's also possible it could be a symptom of a more serious condition, so it's best to consult a dermatologist for a proper examination and diagnosis to determine the cause and appropriate treatment.

I'm dealing with some intense itching between my legs and it's causing this burning sensation, almost like heat. It's also affected my penis, and now the skin has turned really dark and has even started bleeding. What could be going on here? Should I be worried?
Itching between the legs, burning sensation, heat production, blackening of the skin, and bleeding are suggestive of a fungal infection, most likely a jock itch. You can use an antifungal cream like Clotrimazole 1% twice daily on the affected area for 2-4 weeks. Additionally, keeping the area clean and dry, wearing loose-fitting clothes, and avoiding scratching the area will help in faster recovery.

I'm really struggling with excessive dandruff that's been troubling me for the past 10 years. I recently visited a doctor in Bangalore and was told I have seborrheic dermatitis, but they mentioned it's incurable. I've tried using noskurf lotion and a shampoo from Cipla that was recommended, but unfortunately, I'm not seeing any improvement. I'm just wondering if you could suggest a good doctor in Bangalore or share some tips that might help with this issue?
In addition to using the Noskurf lotion and Cipla shampoo as prescribed by your doctor, you can also try the following tips to help control your condition: Use a medicated shampoo containing ketoconazole (such as Nizoral shampoo) at least twice a week. Wash your hair regularly to prevent oil buildup on your scalp. Avoid using hair products that can irritate the scalp, such as gels and mousses. Manage stress levels, as stress can exacerbate seborrheic dermatitis. - Eat a healthy diet rich in vitamins and minerals to support overall skin health.
