Why do I feel like pooping but nothing comes out?
Answered by 1 Apollo Doctors
It can be because of lack of fibre in diet and rectal tenesmus due to intestinal conditions like irritable bowel syndrome, IBD, Hemorrhoids etc. Try to include high fiber foods such as Pears, strawberries, apple, oat meal, brown rice, banana, broccoli, green leafy vegetables (kale, spinach), avocado, carrots, tomato, beans and sweet potato in diet and take plenty of fluids. If issue still persist then consult a doctor.

View allI'm really worried because for the last couple of weeks, I've been experiencing this burning sensation and pain right in the middle of my chest, and I'm also feeling pain in my right shoulder and just below it. My ECG and troponin levels are completely normal, so I'm not sure what else it could be. I'm taking medication for acid reflux, but I'm still feeling pain and a sense of fullness in my chest. Can you help me figure out what's going on?
From your description, it sounds like you may be experiencing symptoms of acid reflux or gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD). In addition to the medication you are already taking for acid reflux, I recommend adding a proton pump inhibitor such as omeprazole 20mg once daily before breakfast to help further reduce stomach acid production and alleviate your symptoms. You can also consider taking an antacid like Tums as needed for immediate relief of heartburn. It's important to avoid trigger foods that may worsen your symptoms, such as spicy or acidic foods, caffeine, and alcohol. Additionally, elevating the head of your bed while sleeping and avoiding lying down right after meals can also help. If your symptoms persist despite these measures, further evaluation by a gastroenterologist may be necessary.

I'm feeling quite tired all the time and I don't smoke or drink. My ultrasound report shows that my liver is enlarged to 16.5 cm. Do you think I should be taking any medication for this? I'm really curious about what might be going on and how I can manage it better.
Enlargement of the liver can be caused by various conditions, and feeling tired could be a symptom of liver dysfunction. I recommend taking Ursodeoxycholic acid (UDCA) to help improve liver function and reduce fatigue. Additionally, you can consider taking Vitamin E supplements to support liver health. It is important to follow up with your doctor for further evaluation and management.
