It is important to keep the levels up because testosterone is a sex hormone that plays important roles in the body. In men, it regulates sex drive (libido), bone mass, fat distribution, muscle mass and strength, and the production of red blood cells and sperm.

I am a 46 year old man experiencing erectile dysfunction for the past 3 months. My blood tests show low free testosterone, high estradiol, and high FSH levels. The endocrinologist initially prescribed Modula for 10 days, but I did not experience any improvement. He then suggested testosterone replacement therapy. I have not started TRT and instead opted for Ayurvedic treatment recommended by a well known sexologist in Delhi. However, after 2 months, there has been little improvement. I no longer have morning erections and have been unable to have sexual intercourse due to poor erections for 3 months. I have a few questions: Should I consider starting testosterone replacement therapy? Is TRT the only effective option for me? What are the potential long term complications of TRT?
