What Are Dangerous Levels of Triglycerides?

A simple blood test called a lipid panel measures your triglyceride levels. Here’s how the numbers are classified:

  1. Normal: Less than 150 mg/dL

  2. Borderline High: 150–199 mg/dL

  3. High: 200–499 mg/dL

  4. Very High/Dangerous: 500 mg/dL or above
