Dear doctor, I went to a government hospital for a pregnancy test for my wife. They said the pregnancy is positive, and something is written on the registration slip. I need your help to understand the test mentioned and whether the results are favorable or not. What is good or bad in the test? Thank you.

A positive pregnancy test is a good sign. Hospitals usually write the urine or blood test result and registration number on the slip for records. To confirm healthy pregnancy progress, do an Early Pregnancy Ultrasound and basic blood tests (CBC, Thyroid Profile, Blood Group, Blood Sugar) as advised by the doctor. Follow regular antenatal check ups for safe pregnancy care.

View allMy wife is 8 weeks pregnant. Two days ago, we had a scan done, which was normal, and other blood tests were prescribed by the doctor. One particular test, Hb electrophoresis, shows abnormal readings (report attached). After seeing the results, the doctor said the reports were wrong and asked us to meet the lab technician. However, the lab technician and pathology doctor insist the reports are correct and advised us to consult the doctor again. The doctor has not provided any clear explanation and seems confused by the report. Can someone please help us understand these results? We are worried about the abnormal readings.

Based on my report, could you please advise whether I can proceed with planning for a baby, or if I should first consult a physician for further evaluation?

I am 6 weeks pregnant. Today some of my blood reports came. Is there any problem in the reports? RBC 4.91, TLC 10.5, basophil 0.6, eosinophil 7.7. Please suggest.
