Question

Dear sir or Madam, I have generalized epilepsy. By consulting my doctor I started Encorate Crono 500 mg tablet twice a day. I had been taking the medicine for five years but then stopped last year. A few days ago I tested my valproic acid level and found it is quite low. Please provide me proper guidance and what I should do? I have also attached my report.

Low valproic acid means the medicine is not active in your body now. Please consult your neurologist before restarting any medication. Do not self medicate for epilepsy.

Take a VALPROIC ACID (SODIUM VALPROATE) Test
