Does the LFT test result vary before and after taking food? Also, why are there contrasting results for tests done within a gap of 4 to 5 hours?

Yes, LFT can show slight fluctuation, but major variations within hours need retesting under fasting. Please repeat the LFT test fasting for consistency. Take this to rule out variability.

Dear Doctor, I recently had a blood test, and some of the parameters seem to be fluctuating. My results are: Gamma GT: 69.6 Vitamin D: 5.7 Total cholesterol: 217.51 LDL (bad cholesterol): 148.27 HDL: 5.49 LDL (another value): 3.74 Non HDL cholesterol: 177.91 SGOT/AST: 48.61 SGPT/ALT: 51.91 I am 5 ft 2 in tall, weigh 72 kg, and I am planning to extend my family in a few months. Could you please advise if I need to be concerned about these results, especially Gamma GT and Vitamin D, and what steps I should take?
