Hello doctor, my Mantoux test was done two days ago. I attached pictures. Can you please tell me if it is positive or negative? Today the pathology lab where my test was done is closed for 2 days, so please help me. My past history: I was diagnosed with tuberculosis 2 years ago and completed my full course. After doctor consultation, medicine was stopped after 1 year. Again, due to pain in my full body, my physician advised this test. Can you please tell me the result?

The Mantoux test (TB skin test) must be read by measuring the raised swelling (not redness) after 48 to 72 hours. A swelling of 10mm or more is usually considered positive in people with past TB history. Since your lab is closed, avoid self-reading unless trained. Body pain alone doesnt confirm reactivation further testing is needed.

View allHi, I have been taking tuberculosis medication for 8 months. My recent tests show that I no longer have tuberculosis. However, I have been experiencing a low grade fever of 99 to 99.3F for some time, and today it rose to 101F. Could you please explain the possible causes of this persistent fever and why it might be happening?

I am suffering from pleurisy tuberculosis and have been on DOTS for the last 3 months. Yesterday I did a USG thorax to check improvement which shows a 48 by 24 mm sized area of organized loculated pleural effusion with thick septa and pleural thickening at the right costophrenic angle. Is there any improvement in my report or is it something serious? I am still having mild fever of 99.3?
