Hello doctor, my mother is 52 years old and has high blood pressure, for which she takes regular medicines (Amlodipine and Telmikind H 80). She got her urine and blood tested today. The report shows low levels of sodium (34), potassium (13), and chloride (76) in the urine. Potassium and chloride levels are normal in blood, while sodium in blood is slightly low (133). Please suggest what I need to do? I have attached the snapshot from the test report.

Urine electrolytes can vary. Blood sodium of 133 is mildly low. Monitor fluid intake, review current BP meds with doctor (some can lower sodium). No urgent concern unless symptoms like confusion or fatigue.

Dr. Siri Suggests...

Take a Electrolytes Test Test or Take a KFT with Electrolytes (Kidney Funtion) Test
