Hello doctor, when is the right time to do a beta HCG test? I got a negative UPT. I was supposed to have my periods on 18th July, but they are irregular due to PCOD. I am on Normoz DS and taking folic acid. Please advise.

If you missed your period and have PCOD, the ideal time for beta hCG is 7to10 days after your expected date. Since your UPT is negative and its already late, do a Serum beta hCG Test now for confirmation. If its negative, continue Normoz and folic acid, and follow up with your gynecologist.

My doctor has put me on progesterone suppositories since day 14 of my cycle to support a possible pregnancy. My period is four days late, and I have a negative home pregnancy test as well as a negative blood test. Can the progesterone suppositories be causing my period to be late?

I have been experiencing symptoms that could indicate pregnancy, including headache, backache, nausea, and fatigue. My period is 10 days late. I took a pregnancy test five days ago and it was negative, and I took another one today which was also negative. I was taking birth control but stopped when I noticed my period was late, hoping it might start. I have scheduled an appointment with my primary doctor, but it is not for another two weeks.
