Hello doctor, when is the right time to do a beta HCG test? I got a negative UPT. I was supposed to have my periods on 18th July, but they are irregular due to PCOD. I am on Normoz DS and taking folic acid. Please advise.

If you missed your period and have PCOD, the ideal time for beta hCG is 7to10 days after your expected date. Since your UPT is negative and its already late, do a Serum beta hCG Test now for confirmation. If its negative, continue Normoz and folic acid, and follow up with your gynecologist.

Hi, I missed my period last month and took a pregnancy test, which was negative. I consulted a doctor, and she prescribed Meprate tablets for 10 days. I completed the course, and Thursday was the last day of taking the tablets, but I still have not gotten my period.
