Hello, I have deficiencies in both vitamin D and B12. When I take supplements, my levels improve, but if I stop the medicine even for a month, the levels drop again. Why does this happen, and what can I do to maintain normal vitamin levels?

Vitamin D and B12 levels drop after stopping supplements if diet and sunlight exposure are insufficient or absorption is poor (gastritis, IBS). After levels normalise, continue maintenance doses as advised by your doctor, take a balanced diet (milk, eggs, fish), and get sunlight for Vitamin D. If levels continue to drop, do Serum Calcium and Complete Blood Count (CBC) with Peripheral Smear to check absorption issues.

View allMy baby is 1.6 years old. Last week, he had fever, cold, and cough. Now, the fever has subsided and he only coughs occasionally, but I have noticed that he is more cranky than usual and sleeps a lot. Is this normal post-viral behavior, or should I be concerned about his activity level? I am a bit worried. I have attached his blood report for your review.
