Hi all. I have been having a chronic scratchy throat almost every month. It comes like a cold, stays for 5 to 6 days and then goes away. I was a smoker earlier, so I did spirometry to check whether it is asthma or COPD. Both reports were negative and the doctor advised Montek AB for 3 weeks. I also have acidity and gas issues for which I am taking Nexium D in the morning and Pan D in the evening. Today my CBC and blood report came (see attached). My serum IgE looks high. Can anyone review these two reports and let me know what is going wrong in me? My mean platelet volume is 13.6. Do I need to worry?

Likely allergic rhinitis or postnasal drip. IgE supports allergic cause. Continue Montek AB and review after 3 weeks. MPV of 13.6 is not concerning alone.

View allI consulted a doctor at KIMS, and they said I have an allergy, so I have been taking allergy medicine. However, I am experiencing chest mucus and frequently vomiting mucus after eating. My test report shows immunoglobulin E over 1000. Could this be the reason for my phlegm problem?

Hi, my nose is always blocked and I am having problems in breathing. I had my blood tested and found allergies. I have been taking anti allergic medicine named Telekast L for 2 months but it is not giving any relief. I have attached my report. Can you kindly give feedback? Thanks.

Is my report normal or should I take medicine? I do not know whether I have asthma or not but my IgE value is very high at 1900.
