Hi Doctor, I think I have missed my period this month. I have tried two home pregnancy tests, taken 10 to 15 days after intercourse, but both results were negative. I still have not got my period, and I am very worried. I am not ready for pregnancy right now. Is there any chance that I might be pregnant despite the negative tests? If yes, what should I do? I cannot let my family know and need confirmation. If I am pregnant, I need a solution because I do not want to continue it now. Please help?

Since you have already done two home pregnancy tests 10 to 15 days after intercourse and both were negative, pregnancy is unlikely but not 100 percent ruled out. For peace of mind and clarity, please get a Beta HCG blood test, which gives an accurate result. Periods can also delay due to stress, hormonal shifts, or PCOD. If the blood test is also negative, your doctor may prescribe a short course of medicine to bring your period safely.

Take a Beta HCG Test Test or Take a TSH Test (Thyroid Stimulating Hormone) Test

View allIf a pregnancy test shows one dark line and one light line, does it indicate pregnancy? I checked with a home pregnancy kit yesterday and again after few days and both times showed this result. My last menstrual period was on 1st June, and my cycles are usually on time. My period has not yet arrived this month. What should I do, and how many more days should I wait before testing again?

I had my beta hcg test before 10 days the result was 0.5 and today it was 3.1. Both tests were taken at the same laboratory. My LMP was 19.8.10 which was 44 days ago. Why did my hcg increase? I took meprate a week ago and got my periods yesterday but with less bleeding and clots. Am I pregnant?

I did a pregnancy test, and it is positive. However, I am experiencing mild cramps on both sides of my lower abdomen and some backache. What could be the reason for these symptoms?
