Hi Doctor, this is Santosh. I recently had a dihydrotestosterone blood test done because of hair loss. Today I received my report, and the result is 779 pg/mL (reference range: 250 to 990). Is this considered normal, or do I need to take any medication for it? Please advise.

DHT level of 779 pg/ml is within the normal range. Hair loss may be due to genetics, stress, or poor nutrition. Maintain a balanced diet, reduce stress, and consult a dermatologist for treatment options.

I have been experiencing hair fall for the past five months, and the regrowth of hair has comparatively smaller diameter than before. I consulted a dermatologist and have been on medication for the last one month. My test reports show ferritin 64, vitamin D 28, and thyroid 1.7. I have not seen any improvement. Hair thinning continues, and I also have dandruff. The medicines I am using are Phytoral, Dvion 60X, Biotin, Keraglow shampoo, and Keraglow lotion.
