Hi, I am a 24 year old female experiencing severe hair fall and thinning. I have already lost about 50 percent of the hair on my scalp. My doctor suggested blood tests, which came back normal, and has now prescribed Finasteride tablets. Is it safe for me to take Finasteride? I am planning to get married in the next 6 months, and I have heard it can have side effects. Please advise.

Finasteride is not commonly recommended for women unless under strict supervision. It may affect fertility. Discuss safer options with a dermatologist.

View allI have been having hair problems for the last 1 year, with excessive hair fall. My blood test shows low vitamin D and vitamin B12. I have been taking Nutrilite Cal Mag D and vitamin B12 supplements for the past month, but I have not seen any improvement. Due to WFH, I am living in Sangli, Maharashtra. I have also had some period related problems in the past 2 months. I think the hair loss may be due to hormonal imbalance. Please help me understand what I should do and which specialist I should consult to treat this issue/ Thank you.

Hi, I have been diagnosed with PCOS, vitamin D deficiency, and low hemoglobin. I completed the treatment course prescribed by my doctor. I also consulted a dermatologist for acne, hair fall, and severe dandruff. I am currently using Avene sunscreen as prescribed, but I still have acne marks on my face, along with ongoing hair fall and dandruff. Please suggest what I can do to improve my skin and hair condition.

I am suffering from severe hairfall. My front scalp is almost visible now and even a slight touch causes hair to break. I have been on medicines but have had no results and hence want to try PRP. Since I am only 21 I want to know the effects and results of PRP. I really hope to get my hair back at least to some extent. I have been advised to do PRP but I am still skeptical since there is a lot of money involved.
