Question

Hi, I am 5 feet tall and weigh 74?kg. I also have thyroid issues. There is a lot of pressure on me to have a baby, and we are planning to conceive within a month. I am very concerned about my weight. What should I do? Is it possible to manage or reduce weight during pregnancy with just morning walks?

At 5 feet and 74 kg, you are overweight, which can affect pregnancy planning. With thyroid issues, weight loss can be slow but is possible. Morning walks are great but may not be enough alone also focus on light, healthy meals. You do not need to lose all weight before trying just start with healthy changes. Make sure your TSH is well controlled before pregnancy. Consult a doctor for expert advice

Dr. Siri Suggests...

Take a THYROID PROFILE TOTAL (T3, T4, TSH) Test or Take a HBA1C (GLYCATED HEMOGLOBIN) Test
