Hi, I got a positive urine pregnancy test and my HCG value is about 779. But I have light bleeding with mild cramps. I also have gastric trouble. Can you suggest what is happening and can I consider myself pregnant or not?

Light bleeding and cramps after a positive pregnancy test can be due to implantation bleeding or a threatened miscarriage. Since hCG is 779, repeat the test in 48 hours. Also do a TVS scan to confirm the pregnancy location and viability.

View allHello, recently we got to know that my wife is pregnant and we went to a gynaecologist recommended by my close friends. The doctor told us to do a few blood tests for pregnancy confirmation. After the results of the report, we got to know that she is 100 percent pregnant. Also, she is found with a little bit high blood pressure. She suggested folic acid capsules, sachets of AGS 90 for BP control, and progesterone. So we asked why she suggested progesterone drug in early pregnancy but the answer was not satisfactory, and we have read many myths about progesterone. Now we are confused whether it is safe to take progesterone? And why did she recommend this drug to my wife?
