Hi, I just want to know. My test report shows 89 before fasting and 139 after a meal. Is there any reason to worry or take precautions?

Your glucose values are within the prediabetic range. Fasting less than 100 is normal, but 139 postprandial is borderline. To assess diabetes risk, please take the HbA1c test.

Take a HbA1c Test (Hemoglobin A1c) Test

View allMy daughter who is 11 years old was diagnosed last month with prediabetes and hypothyroidism. This month the doctor asked for a blood test and a follow up. Should I get her HbA1C test done along with fasting and postprandial sugar tests or only one of them? Which test will help to check if there is any improvement in her sugar levels? The doctor has asked only to do TSH, LFT, and lipid profile and meet him. Since she is on 25mg Eltroxin medication, should I also check her sugar levels while doing the blood test? Please advise.
