Question

Hi, I recently got my thyroid checked after delivery (I delivered a baby a year ago). My report shows TSH is 4.26. I want to know if this is normal or if I need any medication. P.S. The sample was taken on an empty stomach in the morning.

A TSH level of 4.26 is slightly above the optimal range for women trying to conceive or postpartum. If you have symptoms like fatigue or weight gain, a doctor may start low dose thyroid medication.
