Hi, I recently got my thyroid checked after delivery (I delivered a baby a year ago). My report shows TSH is 4.26. I want to know if this is normal or if I need any medication. P.S. The sample was taken on an empty stomach in the morning.

A TSH level of 4.26 is slightly above the optimal range for women trying to conceive or postpartum. If you have symptoms like fatigue or weight gain, a doctor may start low dose thyroid medication.

View allThe latest thyroid test report shows T3 91.05 ng/dl, T4 10.20 microgram/dl, and TSH 0.950 microIU/ml. She was taking 125 mg Thyronorm tablets until the latest test report on 8th September. The tablet was initially recommended when TSH was 7.17 microIU/ml. Since the levels are now normal, can the medication be stopped or should the dose be reduced?

Please read my report. Now I am currently 32 weeks pregnant. Upto the 2nd trimester thyroid reports were normal. I am using Tyronorm 50 mg. T4 is slightly above. Is there any problem? Please suggest.

I recently went for a blood test, and my results were: TSH 143.67 mIU/L, T3 70 ng/dL, and T4 4.8 microgram/dL. On the advice of my family doctor, I repeated the test because there is no history of thyroid issues in my family. The second test showed: T3 1.8 nmol/L, T4 65.7 nmol/L, and TSH 58.6 mIU/L. I am concerned about why the results vary so much. Should I continue consulting my general physician, or should I see a specialist? I am experiencing all the thyroid related symptoms as explained by my doctor. Kindly advise.
