How does HbA1C work?
Answered by 1 Apollo Doctors
The amount of HbA1c formed is directly related to the amount of glucose in your blood. Red blood cells live for an average of 120 days, so HbA1c gives an indication of how much sugar there has been in your blood over the past few months.

View allI suddenly developed pain in my lower back, buttocks, pelvic area, and thigh joint. I consulted a physician, who prescribed medications for pain and suggested physiotherapy with IFT, which I did for 7 days. The pain gradually decreased and is now localized to one spot in the lower back. I am currently doing back supporting exercises. However, I was recently found to have high blood sugar, with HbA1c of 11.1. Could this high blood sugar be related to my back pain, or will it improve on its own? What special care should I take to manage this condition? Please advise.
