Complications like nerve injury, failure to decompress the nerve completely, infection, and thrombophlebitis are possible. Return to working out depends on the individual and the type of exercise, but generally, light activities can be resumed around 8 weeks, with a full return to unrestricted activity taking up to 24 weeks
