I am a 30 year old healthy male and have been experiencing some joint pain. My recent test results are as follows: ASO is 199 IU/ml, RA factor is 2.1 IU/ml, Hemoglobin is 14.7 gm, TSH is 1.53 IU/ml, Fasting Plasma Glucose is 98 mg/dl, and Uric Acid is 7.7 mg/dl. I would like to know if I need to start medication for uric acid, or if it can be managed with lifestyle changes.

ASO suggests recent streptococcal infection. Uric acid is borderline. Start lifestyle changes and repeat Uric Acid after 1 month. Also check CRP and ESR for inflammation.
Dr. Yusuf Suggests...
Take a Uric Acid Test Test or Take a CRP Test (C - Reactive Protein) Test

Sometimes while walking, my knee gets blocked, and while sleeping, I am unable to fully bend my knee. When I try to bend it, I hear a clicking sound, which is quite painful. I also feel inflammation in the fingers of my leg, making it difficult to sleep at night. I have been taking 1 tablet of Feburic 20 daily for the past month. I am attaching my blood test report and would appreciate your advice on treatment or medications to relieve my knee and finger problems.

Hello Doctor, my mother is 54 years old. For the past few days, her left ankle has been swelling whenever she walks or does basic physical activity like climbing stairs. She had a whole body checkup 6 months ago, which was normal. Two months back, she also had basic blood tests (CBC, renal function, liver function, sugar tests), and her sugar and uric acid were borderline. Her current uric acid level is 5.80. Could the ankle swelling be due to uric acid, or might there be another cause? I have attached the reports for your review.
