I am a 47 year old diabetic with neuropathy. My last clinical test showed an HbA1c of 5.9 percent and creatinine of 0.9 mg/dL. At that time, I was taking Metformin 500 mg twice daily, Novomix 30 (18 units before breakfast and 12 units before dinner), and Lantus 20 units at bedtime. Later, my doctor advised Novomix 30 (18 units before breakfast, 12 units before dinner), Lantus 18 units at bedtime, and Transpire M30 after breakfast. My recent report shows that my HbA1c has risen to 7.5 percent, creatinine to 1 mg/dL, and fasting sugar from 84 to 144 mg/dL. I would like advice on whether I should continue the doctor latest prescription or switch back to my previous regimen.

HBA1c 7.5 shows uncontrolled diabetes. Creatinine is borderline high. Continue new regimen with lantus/novomix/transpire. Monitor sugar closely and consider dietician follow-up.

Hello, I have purchased a health policy and the policy issuer has raised concerns over the medical tests conducted from their end. My father HbA1c test has come out marginally increased at 6.2 in his blood report. Because of this, the issuer is not willing to provide the policy to my father. At present, my father is not taking any medicines and this matter is troubling me.
