I am married, and my last menstrual period was on May 9. I usually have a regular cycle of 27 to 28 days. We take proper hygiene measures after intercourse. I have not yet had my period this month. I experienced cramps around my expected date, but my period did not arrive. I took a home pregnancy test on the 34th day, which was negative. It has now been 36 days. Should I wait longer, try period inducing foods, or do heavy workouts? Please advise.

A negative test on day 34 is usually accurate, but to be sure, you can do a blood beta hCG test. Cramps and delayed periods can happen due to hormonal changes or stress. Avoid doing heavy workouts or eating period inducing foods until pregnancy is fully ruled out.

We had unprotected sex, and afterward, we checked for pregnancy three times using home tests, all of which were negative. However, period has not occurred for the past 40 days.
