My wife is 8 weeks pregnant. Two days ago, we had a scan done, which was normal, and other blood tests were prescribed by the doctor. One particular test, Hb electrophoresis, shows abnormal readings (report attached). After seeing the results, the doctor said the reports were wrong and asked us to meet the lab technician. However, the lab technician and pathology doctor insist the reports are correct and advised us to consult the doctor again. The doctor has not provided any clear explanation and seems confused by the report.

Can someone please help us understand these results? We are worried about the abnormal readings.

I am 18 weeks pregnant. The placenta is on the right lateral wall of the uterus and is low lying, with the edge covering the internal os. I have bleeding every day (one teaspoon maximum) and sometimes a little watery discharge without touching undergarments. I am regularly consulting with my doctor, who suggests bed rest and prescribed medicines. My hemoglobin was 10.8 as per the 13 week test report. Can continuous bleeding affect the mother and baby? Is this condition curable?

I am sharing my report. I took an abortion pill vaginally, and now, after two weeks, I am experiencing heavy bleeding. I am very worried. Could you please tell me what this might be?

Heavy bleeding 2 weeks after the abortion pill can suggest an incomplete abortion or retained products. Please do not wait, see a gynaecologist urgently.
