I had a blood test one month ago, which showed hemoglobin 17 g/dL and PCV 52 percent. Today, after full hydration, my blood test shows hemoglobin 15.7 g/dL and HCT/PCV 44.1 percent. Is this normal, or could it indicate polycythemia?

These levels are within normal range now. Drop after hydration is expected. Polycythemia unlikely at present.
