I had a blood test yesterday, and everything was normal except for my free T3 level. My thyroid test results are: TSH: 2.33 microIU/mL, Free T4: 1.33 ng/mL, and Free T3: 8.4 pg/mL. Is this level abnormal? Does it mean I have hyperthyroidism? I read on the internet that it is not curable and requires lifelong medication. Is my result serious? I also experience hand pain and sensitivity to cold climates, but I feel fine in sunny weather. I am worried about my T3 levels.

Your TSH and Free T4 levels are normal, but Free T3 is slightly high, which may suggest early or mild thyroid overactivity. However, this doesnt confirm a serious condition or lifelong disease. Symptoms like cold sensitivity and hand pain dont fully match hyperthyroidism. Its best to repeat thyroid tests after 2 to 3 weeks and check thyroid antibodies to see if its autoimmune. You do not need to panic early changes like this are often manageable.

Take a THYROID PEROXIDASE ANTIBODIES (ANTI MICROSOMAL ANTIBODIES) Test or Take a TSH Test (Thyroid Stimulating Hormone) Test

Greetings Sir/Madam, My T3 and T4 levels appear to be normal, but my TSH level is high. What could this indicate? I have attached my thyroid test report.

For the last four days, she has been taking Thyroxin 25. After starting the medicine, her whole body seems swollen and she feels sleepy throughout the day. She is 10 weeks pregnant. What should I do? Should I stop the thyroid medicine?
