Question

I had dengue right after my last period. Now I got my period 3 ro 4 days late, but it was mostly brown and very light. It lasted only 3 to 4 hours and then I had spotting for 1 day. The pregnancy test is negative. Is this a concern?

After dengue, it is common to have delayed or light periods due to weakness and hormonal changes in the body. Brown spotting for a short time can still count as a period. Since your pregnancy test is negative, there is no need to worry. Maintain hydration, eat a nutritious diet, and give your body time to recover. If your periods continue to be irregular for the next few months, you can book a Thyroid Profile and CBC to check recovery and hormonal balance.

Dr. Dhankecha Suggests...

Take a Thyroid Profile (T3 T4 TSH) Test Test or Take a CBC Test (Complete Blood Count) Test
