I have never had sexual activity. Recently, during treatment for an anal fissure, I got a blood test. The results were: VDRL: Reactive TPHA: 10 (Negative) TPAB: 0.18 (Negative) I have no symptoms apart from the anal fissure, which is now cured. I am worried about these results. Could you please suggest what my next steps should be?

A reactive VDRL with negative TPHA and TPAB usually indicates a false positive. Since you have no sexual history or symptoms, iti s likely non syphilitic. Still, consult a doctor to confirm.
Dr. Shaik Suggests...
Take a TPHA Test (Treponema Pallidium Hemagglutination Assay) Test or Take a RPR TEST FOR SYPHILIS Test

My report shows that syphilis is reactive with a 1:4 titre. Is it necessary to take a penicillin injection for treatment? If so, where should I receive the injection?
