I have suffered from rheumatoid arthritis for the last 2 years. Today my blood test report shows ESR 40 and eosinophils 07. Is it ok?
Answered by 1 Apollo Doctors
ESR 40 suggests active inflammation, which is expected in RA. Eosinophils at 7 percent are mildly high, which could be an allergy. Continue your RA medications and consult your rheumatologist. Do the required CRP and repeat CBC as needed.
Dr. Kamran Suggests...
Take a CRP Test (C - Reactive Protein) Test or Take a CBC Test (Complete Blood Count) Test

My wife has pain in her wrists, hands, finger joints, and shoulders. She is 33 years old. Her recent test results are: RA factor positive, CRP positive, ESR 14 mm/hr (normal range 0 to 20), vitamin D, uric acid, calcium, and other tests are normal. She has not done Anti CCP antibody test yet. What are the next steps? We are worried because her RA factor is positive.
