Question

I have taken vaccinations for aso titre for 3 years, it came positive, and my doctor advised me to take the vaccination at a long interval. After following this, my ASO titre became negative. However, in the last few months, my reports have again turned positive. Could you please advise what steps I should take now? I hope my explanation is clear. Thank you.

A positive ASO titre may indicate a recent or past streptococcal infection. If there are no symptoms, it may not require immediate treatment. Please consult your doctor to reassess if further follow up is needed.

Dr. Kamran Suggests...

Take a ASO Test (Anti Streptolysin-O) Test or Take a CRP Test (C - Reactive Protein) Test
