I recently had a blood test, and my results show: Aspartate Aminotransferase (SGOT, Photometry): 37.3 U/L Alanine Aminotransferase (SGPT, Photometry): 76.3 U/L The SGPT value is significantly above the upper normal limit. Could this indicate a liver problem? Please advise.

Slightly raised SGPT may suggest mild liver strain. Common causes include fatty liver, medications, or recent infection. Repeat test in 4 weeks and get an ultrasound if symptoms persist.

View allI just completed a 7 day alcohol detox. My recent blood test shows: ALT: 61 (normal range 1 to 33) AST: 69 (normal range 14 to 34) I am very worried about this. I have not had alcohol for 8 days and plan to continue staying sober. As I maintain sobriety, is it possible for these liver enzyme levels to return to the normal range and for me to live a healthy life? I have uploaded my blood report for reference.

Hi, my wife is 4 months pregnant and according to her LFT test report, SGOT is 40.16 and SGPT is 53.17. What is the impact of this on the growth of the fetus and how can these levels be reduced? Thanks.
