I've got 5.3mm gallstones but no major pain, just occasional back discomfort do I really need surgery or are there meds that can dissolve them

my eyes have turned slightly yellow and my LFT results show total bilirubin at 2.3 with direct bilirubin 0.7 and indirect 1.6 while other parameters are normal. I've been experiencing this sharp stabbing pain under my right rib for about a week now. It really hurts when I move, laugh, or take deep breaths. The only thing that somewhat helps is Advil, but the pain is still there, just less intense. I've tried waiting it out, but it doesn't seem to go away, and I can't lay down on either side because it hurts. I'm really not sure what's going on, and I'm a bit worried. Any ideas on what this could be?
