Question

I've had exfoliative cheilitis for 12 years where the entire layer of my upper and lower lips peels off, leaving them red and raw. My top lip is also covered in Fordyce spots. I've tried so many treatments tacrolimus, clobetasol, mometasone, calendula ointment, Sebamed lip balm but nothing helps. Even multivitamins didn't make a difference. When I tried leaving my lips alone without peeling, they got even more inflamed. The skin turns white when wet and peels daily. Dermatologists keep recommending creams, but none work. Are there any surgical options since topicals don't seem to do anything?
