Question

My 3.6 year old daughter developed a fever with cough and cold. We consulted a child specialist who prescribed medications including Lanzopraz, Bestozym, Atoz, Tixylix, Calpol, Refzol, and Pacimol, which initially helped reduce the fever. However, she developed a high fever of 103. The doctor then prescribed Moxclav antibiotic and Pacimol. Although the fever decreases after medication, it returns every 4 to 5 hours. We are concerned and unsure about the situation. I have attached all prescriptions and her blood report. Kindly advise on what should be done next?

It is understandably worrying, but recurrent fever in kids often points to viral infections or mild resistance. Blood reports will help guide antibiotics further. You are doing the right thing. Please keep your paediatrician informed. Get Widal test to rule out typhoid fever.

Dr. Siri Suggests...

Take a CBC Test (Complete Blood Count) Test or Take a WIDAL TEST (TUBE METHOD) Test
