My 64-year-old dad was just diagnosed with Crohn's disease and I read it's an autoimmune condition. What are the treatment options for autoimmune diseases like this? Is Crohn's curable or will he have it for life? Does he need surgery or is it managed with medication? Also, is it similar to cancer? We're really stressed and confused about what to expect.
