My dad is suffering from spondylitis since 1995 and recently it was found that he is suffering from motor neuron disease. He is admitted in hospital in ICU and on ventilator for the last 3 days. His right hand is completely not working. There is an obstruction in the intestine as well. Suddenly his kidney function is not happening at all and hardly 10 percent urine is coming. His creatinine is 3.6 and bilirubin is 94. Doctors are trying their best but due to my dad condition they are unable to go for radiology to check kidney function and how much damage has happened. I am based in Pune Lohegaon area. Can you please suggest or advise any doctor or way that may be tried so that my dad will be able to live a normal life again? Eagerly waiting for responses sir/madam.

Your fathers condition is critical due to multi organ involvement: advanced Motor Neuron Disease, acute kidney injury (Creatinine 3.6, BUN 94), and intestinal obstruction. In such a case, detailed imaging like Renal Doppler Ultrasound or CT KUB is usually needed but may be delayed due to instability. Supportive ICU care, fluid management, and nephrology consultation are key. For kidney function monitoring and dialysis need, serial blood tests are essential.

View allHi, please advise as my serum phosphorus is 4.6 and serum chloride is 98 (it was 103 last week). This came in my blood report for a preventive health checkup. I had RIRS surgery one month back for kidney stone and ureter stone. Please let me know what needs to be done for high phosphorus and low serum chloride? Other KFT parameters are normal. My Kidney Function Test1 (KFT1) shows serum creatinine 0.96 mg/dl, serum uric acid 4.9 mg/dl, serum calcium 9.9 mg/dl, serum phosphorus 4.6 mg/dl, serum sodium 142 mmol/L, serum chloride 98 mmol/L, blood urea 24 mg/dl, blood urea nitrogen 11.1 mg/dl, BUN/creatinine ratio 11.53, and urea/creatinine ratio 24.69.

My urea level is 66, which was 33 earlier. This increase occurred after taking some pills prescribed by my gynecologist for bleeding that lasted 2 weeks and Rasoli in the fallopian tube. Should I be concerned, and what steps should I take?

I have attached my uncle liver and kidney function test reports. He has been unconscious for 72 hours following an angioplasty. The LFT and KFT results are normal. Please advise what should be done next
