My daughter is 5 and a half years old and generally a healthy child. However, for the past 4 months, she has been experiencing a persistent dry cough. The doctor has given antibiotics, which help temporarily, but the cough returns once the medication is stopped. The doctor has advised a blood test. Please look into it and advise.

A recurring cough in children can be due to allergies or mild infections. Nothing serious if she is active otherwise. Her doctor may just want to rule out allergy or wheeze through some simple blood tests.
