My father is suffering from jaundice. Last week, his bilirubin was 1.23 mg/dL, and his cholesterol is slightly high. Could you please advise what treatment or care he should follow? Also, how soon should he get tested again by a doctor?

Your father bilirubin is only slightly raised, suggesting mild liver strain, not serious jaundice. Give him light, low fat meals with more fluids and rest. Since his cholesterol is also a bit high, avoid oily foods. You can take him to the doctor within a week and repeat liver and cholesterol tests after 2 to 3 weeks.
