My report shows that syphilis is reactive with a 1:4 titre. Is it necessary to take a penicillin injection for treatment? If so, where should I receive the injection?

If your syphilis test is reactive, yes, penicillin is the standard and most effective treatment. It is given via intramuscular injection, usually in a hospital or clinic. Early treatment is essential to avoid complications. Get done VDRL test for better evaluation.

I have never had sexual activity. Recently, during treatment for an anal fissure, I got a blood test. The results were: VDRL: Reactive TPHA: 10 (Negative) TPAB: 0.18 (Negative) I have no symptoms apart from the anal fissure, which is now cured. I am worried about these results. Could you please suggest what my next steps should be?
