My test report shows HSV 1+2 IgG as 4.2. Could you please explain what this means? Does it indicate that I have herpes? I am also experiencing pain during urination and discomfort in the penis.

An HSV IgG titer of 4.2 suggests a past herpes infection, not necessarily an active one. If you experience symptoms such as burning or sores, consult a healthcare professional for antiviral treatment. Penis pain may also be from a UTI, a urine test can confirm. Avoid sexual contact during symptoms to prevent spread.
Dr. Siri Suggests...
Take a Herpes Simplex Virus 1+2 IgG Ab Serum Test or Take a URINE ROUTINE + CULTURE SENSITIVITY Test

View allI am having warts on my penis for the last three to four months and I have done several tests where I got positive for HSV2. But the problem is that the warts on my penis are due to HPV. How can I differentiate between HPV and HSV2 because from the last few days I am feeling that some warts are growing on my scalp at the hair roots which is causing pain. Can you please let me know if HPV causes warts on the whole body. In my condition I am having them on the penis head scalp and on my feet. How can I know if it is HPV or HSV2 when my report has come positive?

Hello doctor, is HSV 2 dangerous? Does it cause lifelong body ache and abdominal pain as I am experiencing? My report shows positive antibody 8.0. Can it spread to my 5 month old baby through carrying him or by touch?
