For the past one and a half years, I have experienced joint pain and swelling near my wrists. Earlier blood tests confirmed that I was RA positive, and I underwent treatment for arthritis. Recently, after consulting an orthopaedic specialist, my new blood report shows that RA is now negative, but my ASO titre is elevated at 782. Is this condition curable?

RA markers can flip between positive and negative, and a high ASO titre 782 suggests a past strep infection. Most people control symptoms with medicines and exercise. Many go into long remissions. Repeat the inflammation markers to guide the next step.
Dr. Hema Suggests...
Take a CRP Test (C - Reactive Protein) Test or Take a Anti CCP Test (Cyclic Citrullinated Peptide) Test
