Respected Doctors, my mom is already taking medicines for sugar and blood pressure. For the last few months she has been having shoulder and joint pain. My dad and mom went to an orthopedic doctor and got medicines for the problem. I will attach the prescription and all other details including her blood test report. Please verify the prescription and reply whether she can take this many medicines for joint pain? In the first course she had four different medicines daily. From today she is taking five medicines for the next fifteen days. Thanks in advance. Awaiting your reply. Patient Name: R. Vanaja. Note: This is not to cross check the medicines given by the doctor or his ability. I just want to know whether my mom is taking excessive medications?

Without exact prescription and labs, I cannot comment fully. But polypharmacy in elderly should be supervised. Joint pain needs RA or uric acid workup. Do the required review of prescriptions and relevant tests.
Dr. Yusuf Suggests...
Take a Uric Acid Test Test or Take a LFT (Liver Function) Test Test

For the past 10 days, I have been experiencing severe pain in both my knee joints and feet. The pain worsens when I rest, but slightly improves while walking. Today, I did some tests, CRP is 4, Blood Sugar is 151 (1 hour after lunch), ESR is 10, TSH is 4.5 (slightly elevated), RA Factor is 7.2, and I am still waiting for the Anti CCP test results. Please advise how I can reduce this pain.
