She has been feeling weak recently. Today I went to the lab, and some of her test results are high. Her report shows SGOT (AST) 62 and SGPT (ALT) 53. She also says she has pain on the left side of her abdomen. What could be the reason for this problem?

Mildly elevated liver enzymes suggest fatty liver, hepatitis, or gallbladder disease. Imaging is needed to confirm cause of pain.
Dr. Bhanu Suggests...
Take a LFT (Liver Function) Test Test or Take a Lipid Profile Test Test

View allDear Sir, I have chikungunya since 2 days. My CBC report shows MCHC 34, Neutrophils 89, Lymphocytes 6, PDW 16, WBC 6499, and Platelet count 260000. My main symptoms are burning on the tongue and throat due to difficulty in eating. What treatment should I take and what is the reason for burning on the tongue and throat? Is it due to the virus or medication? I also have joint pain and sometimes fever.

Hello, I need an urgent consultation for my mother who is suffering from acute stomach pain. She is currently on sedatives prescribed by an emergency doctor at a nearby hospital. I have attached reports showing that she is suffering from pancreatitis, gallbladder inflammation, and liver issues. The doctor has advised admitting her as soon as possible. Since it is Diwali season, I am concerned about whether she will receive proper care in the hospital. I am considering admitting her tomorrow. Please advise on the severity of her condition and whether it is safe to wait until tomorrow? Her LFT report shows SGPT 169, SGOT 186, alkaline phosphatase 150, and GGT 117, all significantly above normal range. I am looking forward to your suggestion. Thank you.

My blood report shows normocytic normochromic cells with macrocytes and ovalocytes, and my liver enzymes are elevated (SGOT is 55.9 U/L, SGPT is 61.9 U/L). I do not consume alcohol or cold drinks. I want to know if it is safe to undergo surgery for dry ear perforation. Also, could these results indicate any underlying disease? Please advise.
