Yes, kidney function test can indicate kidney stones and kidney diseases. However, a CT scan or ultrasound can confirm the kidney stones.

My dad is 85 years old. He has been complaining that after passing urine, he does not feel comfortable and shivers afterward. His report shows serum creatinine 1.2 mg/dl. His kidneys are normal, and the bladder has a 3.3 cm faceted mobile stone. Premicturition volume is 194 cc, and postmicturition volume is nil. His prostate is 37 gm. Kindly advise? Thank you.
