I recently had a USG, which showed a 44 x 46 x 43 mm thick walled cyst with dense internal debris in the right adnexa, and the right ovary was not separately seen. The left ovary is bulky with multiple unilocular follicular cysts of approximately 14 to 16 mm, and both the left ovary and the cyst appear adherent to the uterus. The left ovary measures 38 x 34 x 36 mm with a volume of 25.8 cc. Following my doctor advice, I did a CA 125 test, which came out to 40.7 U/ml. My doctor mentioned there is nothing to worry about and suggested taking Vissane 2 g for the next six months. I am 27 years old, recently married, and not planning a family for the next two years. I would like to know if my condition is serious, whether it can lead to infertility, and what the most optimum treatment is at this moment?

I have some questions regarding the CA 125 test. I would like to know if it is used only to diagnose ovarian cancer, or if it can indicate other conditions as well. Are there any specific instructions to follow before taking this test? Also, if the blood is drawn on the third day of the menstrual period, will it affect the results?
