Can beta hcg test be done before missed periods to check whether I am pregnant or not. I have been having a sharp dull but bearable pain for the last four days so I did a beta hcg test three days before my missed periods. The result of beta hcg was 0.1. I am currently taking Glycomet 500 mg in the morning and evening. My blood sugar readings are around 150 (fasting) and 190 to 200 (post meal). I underwent an IUI procedure 22 days ago and am now waiting to find out if I am pregnant. I am concerned about whether these sugar levels could affect the baby if the result is positive.
